BTX depolarizes the membrane and prevents repolarization. It blocks the electrical signaling from the nervous system by blocking sodium channels.

Further Explanation:

BTX or batrachotoxin is a kind of steroidal alkaloid. It was first derived from the skin of poison dart frogs or Dendrobatidae. This neurotoxin blocks the nerve and muscle cells from passing on the electrical signals. These toxins mainly block electric signal transmission from the nerves to the muscle by binding and inactivating the sodium channels.

The permeability of the external membrane of human nerve and muscle cells increase and pass sodium ions. It prevents these arteries within muscle tissues from terminating regularly, rather providing a large volume of sodium ions circulates inside the cell. Connection with batrachotoxin creates insensitivity in individual tissues. Upon accessing the human body, this poison generates muscle and nerve depolarization, fibrillation, arrhythmias, and heart failure. BTX is a cause of these harmful outcomes by conflicting with the body's capability to carry electrical signals through medians of action possibility.

An endospore may survive a drought because it is protected by a
kirill115 [55]

Answer:

An endospore may survive a drought because it is protected by a THICK WALL

Explanation:

An endospore is a structure that is produced by some bacteria. This structure possesses characteristics such as:

a. Endospores have thick walls

b. They are very resistant and resilient to changes in temperature.

c. They are resistant as well to the action or activity of some chemicals.

d. Endospores serves as a means of protection for microorganisms such as Bacteria.

e. Endospores do not reproduce.

f. Endospores can be dormant or Inactive for a very long period of time.

Endospores may survive drought, activity of chemicals, extreme weather conditions, extreme temperatures due to the presence of thick walls in their structure.

vichka [17]

So given the suggested food chain of algae-snail-sunfish-heron we can conclude that this food chain is heavily dependent on the process of photosynthesis.

The algae is the only of the organism that are directly dependent of the photosynthesis for their survival, while the snail, sunfish, and heron, and indirectly dependent on it.

Since we are talking about a food chain, in essence it means that all organism are connected through one another. So the algae perform photosynthesis for its own survival, the snail is using the algae is a food source, the snail is later eaten by the sunfish, and the sunfish goes on the menu of the heron.

If the algae, by some scenario, are not able to perform photosynthesis, than they will die off, and if they die off, than the snail will die off because of lack of food, if the snail dies off, along with it dies off the sunfish because of lack of food, and if the sunfish is out of the scene, the heron goes as well.

So we can conclude that the process of photosynthesis is of crucial importance for the survival of all four species, be it directly or indirectly.

Which means of particle transport is shown in Figure 7–4 above?
sattari [20]
The correct option is D.
When it comes to movement of particles in an out of cells, there are two basic types of transportation, these are passive and active transportation. The passive transportation of particles does not require  the use of energy while the active transport system requires the use of energy in the form of ATP. From the diagram given in the question, it can be seen that energy is involved in the process. Energy is mainly needed to move the particles against the concentration gradient since the inside of the cell is highly concentrated while the outside has low concentration. <span />
