Answer:  Gothic literature is spooky, mysterious, focuses on the supernatural, and is disturbing. Transcendental literature focuses on idealists who found truth in the natural world, while gothic literature focuses on the dark side of human nature. Transcendental literature reflects on idealism and optimism about the natural world. Both are varieties of American Romanticism that have to do with human nature.

Aleksandr [31]

A brilliantly written allegory, filled with symbolism and pathos, it is certainly one of the classics of all time. The poem is written in the first person as Dante describes his imaginative journey through the three realms of the dead: Inferno (hell); Purgatorio (Purgatory); and Paradiso (heaven). </span>
