Answer:

Because there are fewer birds, the lynx will attack rodents, leading to a decrease in its population.

Explanation:

As we can see in the question above, the lynx feeds on rodents and birds. This allows the population of rodents and birds to be balanced because the lynx ends up having two hunting options. however, if the birds move to another location and the environment in which the lynx lives is left with no birds, it will only hunt rodents. This will be very harmful to rodents because it will decrease its population in an extreme way, and may cause the extinction of rodents in this environment. This will also affect the life of the lynx, which will run out of rodents and birds to feed.

The lynx won't be able to eat birds, so it will eat rodents instead. The rodent population will go down until the birds come back. The rodents may even go extinct. Because rodents eat grass, the growth of grass will go up if they are extinct.

D is an example of confirmation bias because confirmation bias involves people looking for information to support their opinions and beliefs, the person confirms their already existing biases and beliefs when they seek out information to support these biases and beliefs whilst ignoring contradicting information. The journalist is confirming his belief that climate is not real when he cites an article discussing how humans cannot be causing climate change and when he ignores several other articles that discuss how humans can cause climate change so as a result he is confirming his own bias and belief.
