Nucleus

A nucleus (nucleus of a nucleated cell) is a specific organelle of eukaryotes containing almost the entire cellular genome. It is delimited by a nuclear envelope which is a double membrane in continuity with the rough endoplasmic reticulum and lined on its internal face with a network of intermediate filaments (nuclear lamina). The exchanges between the nucleus and the cytoplasm are made by nuclear pores. The nucleus contains the nucleoplasm, chromatin, nucleolar (s) and primary transcripts. During cell division, the chromatin condenses and the nuclear envelope disintegrates (except rare cases).

Ribosome

The role of ribosomes is the synthesis of proteins from mRNA.

Proteins, which shape the phenotype of any organism and are functional units (enzymes), are synthesized during highly specific matrix reactions.

During this gene expression, the hereditary message, written in the sequence of deoxyribonucleotides, undergoes a conversion: it is finally reproduced in the amino acid sequence of the proteins since, according to the genetic code, each triplet of nucleotides corresponds to an acid amine.

The fidelity of the expression of the genes is entrusted to the ribosomes: indeed, it is to these particles that the mRNA transmits the message from the genome.

Endoplasmic reticulum

The endoplasmic reticulum (the granular one) is a system of more or less dilated cavities and canaliculus that communicates with each other, carrying ribosomes attached on their outer faces representing 20 to 60% of the surface of the membranes (depends on the cell type). It is more abundant in important protein secretory cells. It is continuous with the nuclear envelope and with the smooth endoplasmic reticulum.

Synthesis and translocation of membrane proteins and secretory proteins with sorting signals.

Golgi apparatus

The Golgi apparatus is an organelle grouping together all dictyosomes (formations consisting of stacked saccules or cisterns). It is a compulsory place for the passage of proteins synthesized by the rough endoplasmic reticulum (granular).

He intervenes in:

1- Transfer of RER proteins to secretory vesicles

2- Protein Maturation

3- Sulfation of glycolipids and synthesis of proteoglycans and glycolipids

4- O-glycosylation of certain proteins.

5- The shipment of secreted products

Nucleus controls the cell, it tells the cell what to do, similar to a brain. Rough ER or Ribosome ER creates the proteins in the cell. Golgi Apparatus packages macromolecules like lipids and proteins for transport.

In certain bacteria, an oval shape (O) is dominant over round (o) and thick cell walls (T) are dominant over thin (t). Draw on a
seropon [69]

Answer:

Consider the heterozygous oval, thick cell walled bacteria to have the alleles OoTT and the thin cell walled bacteria to have alleles oott. Results will be 50% oval, thick walled bacteria and 50% round, thick walled bacteria. This will be the F1 progeny.

When the oval, thick walled bacteria from the F1 progeny is cross bred with round, thick walled bacteria then 25 percent of the bacteria will be heterozygous oval, thick walled. 25 percent will be heterozygous oval and heterozygous thick walled. 25 percent will be round and thick walled. 25 percent will be round and thin walled.

what types of minerals are good conductors of electricity, are strong and can be formed into various shaped and sized products w
Sidana [21]

Minerals which are good conductors of electricity are described below.

Explanation:

  • metals tend to be highly efficient conductors of heat and electricity. The vast majority of elements on the periodic table are metals, and most of these fall into one of five families: alkali metals; alkaline earth metals; the very large transition metals family; and the inner transition metal families, known as the lanthanides and actinides.
  • Metals are lustrous or shiny in appearance, and malleable or ductile, meaning that they can be molded into different shapes without breaking. Despite their ductility, metals are extremely durable and have high melting and boiling points. They are excellent conductors of heat and electricity, and tend to form positive ions by losing electrons.

Which of the following would not result in the dilation of the feeder arterioles and opening of the pre capillary sphincter in s
motikmotik

Answer:

Option (C).

Explanation:

The dilation of feeder arterioles carry blood directly into the blood vessels. The pre capillary sphincter in the systemic capillary beds can open due to the different factors.

The local release of histamines do not cause the dilation of feeder arterioles and does not cause the opening of systemic capillary beds. Histamine chemical is involved in the immune response of the body.

Thus, the correct answer is option (C).

Jon likes hiking. He observes that whenever he hikes up a hill, he breathes heavier than when he is on flat ground. Which two st
mestny [16]

Answer:

The correct statements are:

  • Sensors in the brain detect a lack of oxygen.
  • The muscles in his body need more energy and therefore more oxygen.

The amount of oxygen in air and atmospheric pressure decreases with increase in altitude.

So, when Jon hikes up the hill he faces two problems; lack of oxygen in the air and decrease in atmospheric pressure.

Decreased atmospheric pressure makes it difficult for the lungs to breathe in the air and lack of oxygen decrease the blood oxygen level.

In addition, physical activity like hiking increases the oxygen demand of the body.

Due to these factors the respiratory system struggles to meet the oxygen demand of the body. The brain detect the same and triggers the respiratory and circulatory system to work more in order to meet the oxygen demand.

It causes the shortness of breath or heavy breathing, high blood pressure, tiredness, dizziness etc.
