The 3 reasons plants and propagated asexually are:

1. To preserve the genetic characteristics of a particular plant

2. Propagate plants it do not produce viable seeds for example: (bananas, pineapple, seedless grape etc.)

Answer:

Asexual reproduction is a mode of reproduction without the involvement of two sexes. This method is a primary way of producing offspring in the lower organisms but is also used by higher organisms like plants.

Plants reproduce by asexual mode as it proves beneficial to the plants in the following ways:

1. Energy saving process : plants do not have to invest energy on producing sexual reproductive organs called flowers, to attract pollinators and seed dispersal.

2. Survival under stable environment : plants produce clones with the same genetic material conserving the useful traits in population.

3. Saves time: the plants produced by asexual modes reach maturity faster as it escapes the sexual phases of the life cycle and arises from the adult plants.

What problem would most likely to occur if a haploid cell attempted to perform meiosis? the cell could not replicate its dna pri
Cerrena [4.2K]

The answer is; the cell could not pair homologous chromosomes during meiosis.

For meiosis to occur, the sister chromosomes pairs line up in the metaphase-plate so that each chromosome of the pair is pulled to the opposite pole by the spindle in anaphase. Therefore, meiosis can only occur in cells with normal ploidy so the ploidy halved by meiosis.

Explain how health care professionals treat unregulated (or abnormal) cellular growth in the body
Alexeev081 [22]

New cells are typically produced during cell division. Cell division is a complex process that is regulated and checked at many points. Due to varying factors, the cell regulation mechanism may become non functional and this usually result in abnormal cell growth and division.

An abnormal cell growth may be cancerous or non cancerous. The best thing to do when one notices an abnormal growth in his body is to go and see the doctor. The doctors will administer appropriate test in order to determine the type of tumor that is present. If the tumor is non cancerous it will be removed by minor surgery. In case the tumor is cancerous, appropriate treatments will depending on the part of the body where it is found, the stage of growth and nature of the cancerous cells.
