The most effective type of single tactic persuasion in persuasive programming is logos. This is because people are easily convinced by the truth especially with the use of statistics, historical and literal analogies and established names related to the field of expertise. People regard intelligence as tantamount to preciseness.

The least effective type is the pathos. There are instances when people are at war of their emotions especially in decision-making because it creates doubt or confusion to be persuaded by biased judgment. It requires consideration of other useful factors before resorting to emotional attachment.
