Read the passage. Students may use cell phones between classes and during the lunch break, as long as they do not create a distr

action or cause the student to be tardy for class. During class, cell phones will be secured in lockers or vehicles. Cell phones are not allowed in classrooms, locker rooms, or restrooms. Students may not use cell phones to take or transmit pictures. Cell phone use while on the bus is decided by the bus driver. Students who violate these rules will have their cell phones taken away until the end of the school year. What might be the reason that the school forbids the use of cell phone cameras? They create a distraction during lunch break. They violate student and teacher privacy. They are too costly. They cause students to be tardy to class.

Hey!
       Ok, So I Do Believe That Sometimes They May Cause Students To Be Tardy, But That Is Not The Answer. The Answer Is That They Violate Student And Teacher Privacy. Students May Not Want Their Picture All Over Social Media, And Neither Do Teachers.That Would Invade Privacy, And Just Be Disrespectful. Maybe Not Even On Social Media. They Might Not Want Their Picture Taken At All.
   Hope That Helps :)

To recognize which line in the excerpt from Amy Lowell's "Lilacs" represented above emphasizes consonance the only thing you need is to read it aloud. It is like when you want to focus on the rhyme of some lines. So, according to this rule, I would say that the first option (A. Heart-leaves of lilac all over New England ) is an example of emphasizing consonance.

What evidence from the passage best supports the inference that making sugar was difficult? Select two options.
KIM [24]

The words that support the inference that making sugar was difficult are;

  • "the work was governed by extremely tight, rigid discipline"
  • "careful organization did not solve the second problem with sugar"

In describing the plantations that existed in Jamaica during the era of slavery, the excerpt mentions that between 50 and up to a hundred workers were required to work in the plantations.

The Muslims and Christians organized methods to use their slaves in the plantations. Still, these did not yield many results.

So, despite the rigid discipline and careful organization, sugar making was still difficult.
