The drama club sample comes from a more varied group of students, so it is less likely to be biased or The drama club sample is large enough for inferences.<span>

Number of members chosen by Helena in her homeroom = 5

Mean number of tickets = 16

So, total candidates who had purchased ticket = 16 × 5= 80

Now, number of candidates chosen randomly = 10

So, total candidates who had purchased ticket = 22.5 × 10=225

No, one sample can't be a better representation by choosing randomly a group of members.

In Sample 1 , we are considering only 5 drama numbers.

And In Sample 2, we are considering 10 random samples among 75 members.

The mean in two cases varies by (22.5-16=6.5) which is large because we are considering number of tickets sold by members of club.

It would have been better if she has taken more than 3 random samples of 15  students ,among 75 students, then she would have got appropriate mean or value near the mean.

I’m not entirely sure but the answer might be 72 1/2 miles. I added up 12 1/3, 8 3/4, 17 2/8, 23 2/3, and 10 5/10. And I got 72 1/2.

zzz [600]

Answer:

a) 2/42

b)16/42

Step-by-step explanation:

a) 2/7 x 1/6 = 2/42

b) (1,2)  (1,3) (2,3)

   P(1,2) = 2/7 x 3/6 = 6/42

   P(1,3) = 2/7 x 2/6 = 4/42

   P(2,3) = 3/7 x 2/6 = 6/42

Add all = 6/42 + 4/42 + 6/42 = 16/42

Yanka [14]

Answer:

$26.06

Step-by-step explanation:

You would like to purchase a glue gun for $8.99 and a basket for $25.99. The highest-priced item is a basket for $25.99. So, the coupon will take the discount off for this item.

The new price of the basket is

\$25.99\cdot (1-0.4)=\$25.99\cdot 0.6=\$15.594

The total cost of your buying  is

\$8.99+\$15.594=\$25.584

There will be a 6% sales tax added to the price of all items. So, the end cost is

\$25.584\cdot (1+0.06)=\$25.584\cdot 1.06=\$26.05904\approx \$26.06
