Which parts of this passage from chapter 6 of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights illustrate that Hindley Earnshaw is very willing

to please his wife?
Young Earnshaw was altered considerably in the three years of his absence. (A.He had grown sparer, and lost his colour, and spoke and dressed quite differently; and, on the very day of his return, he told Joseph and me we must thenceforth quarter ourselves in the back-kitchen, and leave the house for him.) (B. Indeed, he would have carpeted and papered a small spare room for a parlour; but his wife expressed such pleasure at the white floor and huge glowing fireplace, at the pewter dishes and delf-case, and dog-kennel, and the wide space there was to move about in where they usually sat, that he thought it unnecessary to her comfort, and so dropped the intention.)

(C. She expressed pleasure, too, at finding a sister among her new acquaintance; and she prattled to Catherine, and kissed her, and ran about with her, and gave her quantities of presents, at the beginning.) Her affection tired very soon, however, and when she grew peevish, Hindley became tyrannical. (D. A few words from her, evincing a dislike to Heathcliff, were enough to rouse in him all his old hatred of the boy.) He drove him from their company to the servants, deprived him of the instructions of the curate, and insisted that he should labour out of doors instead; compelling him to do so as hard as any other lad on the farm.

(E. Heathcliff bore his degradation pretty well at first, because Cathy taught him what she learnt, and worked or played with him in the fields.)

The correct option is D.
From the excerpt given about it can be seen that Hindley started to treat his adoptive brother badly as a result of the complain from his wife. Her words of dislike for Heathcliff made Hindley to drive him out of the house into the servants' quarter and he treated him as one of the servants.

Which two sentences indicate incentives offered to employees? Martin and his team members have to complete a project by the end
Vikki [24]

Answer: His boss announces that people working extra hours will receive extra pay. He also says that the company will sponsor a trip to Hawaii once the project is completed.

An incentive is an action that is intended to motivate a particular behaviour. In the workplace, they usually take the form of monetary rewards (money) or special perks for employees. Incentives are useful tools to encourage a desired outcome. In this case, the boss is promising the employees that they will receive extra pay and might be able to travel to Hawaii if the project is successful.

Read the excerpt from Dispatches.
Masteriza [31]

The sensory details in the excerpt evoke a sense of...:

...awe and wonder.

There's description of mysterious lights, as well as flares and sparks. The adjective choices show awe and wonder: great, dead white, intense, white-hot, brilliant... Plus, there is a quite meaningful direct comparison here: "it seemed as though anything caught in their range would be made still, like figures in a game of living statues." The fact the author talks about "living statues" also shows awe and wonder.
