The answer is False.

Further explanation:

Communication includes both verbal and non-verbal messages. Non-verbal communication can be an individual’s facial expressions, eye contact, body language, and gestures.

COMMUNICATION

Communication is the process of sending and receiving verbal messages, as opposed to non-verbal messages. It is the act of transferring information from one person, place or group to another. Every communication requires three basic things, which are as follow:

1. A sender- A sender or encoder is the one who encodes the message.

2. A receiver- A receiver or the decoder is a person who decodes the message.

3. A message- It’s a type of non-verbal message, which is sent by the sender to the receiver.

The message can be influenced by an individual’s emotions, type of medium, location and a cultural situation. The effective, unambiguous, and accurate communication is hard to achieve. There are various types of communication like Verbal Communication, Non-Verbal Communication, and Written Communication.

Which of the following hypothetical situations might result in a blood sugar level that is too high? Select all that apply. A. A
Kruka [31]

Answer: B. An individual has an autoimmune disorder that destroys the beta cells of the pancreas.

C. An individual’s insulin receptors are defective.

Explanation:

Diabetes mellitus is a common disease. In this disease the level of sugar in the blood is affected. This occurs when pancreas does not produce enough insulin or the receptors involving insulin also become resistant to insulin, which is a sugar balancing hormone.

Type 1 diabetes involves the complete lack of production of insulin by the beta cells of the pancreas. The beta cells of pancreas are destroyed by the body's self immune system.

Type 2 diabetes involves the development of insulin resistance by the target cells of the body. The insulin secretes but cannot compensate for the increase in blood glucose levels due to due to defective receptors on target cells.

On the basis of above explanation, B. and C. are the correct options.

What type of blood cell would pose the greatest threat to you? Explain the reason for your choice.

Answer: I believe that the type of blood cell that would pose the greatest threat to me if I was inside a person is the monocytes. This blood cells have a long life span compared to the white cells and are in charge of breaking down bacteria. Even inside a submarine this cells would pose a threat to us since to them we would be an unwanted invader.

I hope it helps, Regards.

This is indirect peer pressure. The friend saw an image in a magazine and felt compelled to behave that way. This was not pressure from a direct friend, rather a peer from a magazine. This is perhaps the most dangerous type of peer pressure because there is such a wide range of magazine images.
