What generalizations can you make about Byzantine art from this mosaic?
insens350 [35]

Answer : It is quite difficult to answer the question without looking at which specific art has to be considered. But few generalizations can be made from Byzantine art from his mosaics.

1) They are illustrative. Byzantine artists would paint to show a person or an event. Typically, a saint, or a bible story, or perhaps an important event associated with an Emperor.

2) The pictures are usually stylized, with standard form and imagery. If considering a picture of a saint, there will be certain standard images and symbols associated with that saint so anyone looking at it. Their status will be shown by haloes, there will be objects or signs next to them, and the picture will have a use. Either it is to aid worship, or teach a story or - another type of Byzantine art - may even show a map.

In at least 100 words, discuss the explicit and implicit meanings in the above excerpt. Be sure and point out the differences be
Aliun [14]
Explicit: Stated clearly and in detail, leaving no room for confusion or doubt. the closing words of a text, manuscript, early printed book, or chanted liturgical text. For example: "the speaker's intentions were not made explicit.
Implicit: Implied though not plainly expressed. With no qualification or question; absolute. Not expressed directly in terms of independent variables. These two words have almost opposite meanings but are regularly confused because of their similar sound. Since they do have such different meanings, you want to be sure that you're using the right one. Keep this in mind: Implicit is indirect; and Explicit is direct.  Here is something that might help you to remember the difference in both these words. Remember this and you won't ever fall short when thinking, "Is it Implicit or Explicit?" A good way to keep explicit vs implicit apart is to remember that Iimplicit is an Implied or Indirect statement. Both of these start with the letter "I". Explicit starts with an "E" and is spelled out, so there is no confusion. Implicit and Explicit have near opposite meanings, so it's important to remember their difference. Implicit is indirectly stated or implied. Explicit is directly stated and spelled out.

I hope this helps and sorry I went over 100 I checked and its 200 words!!!!

Why are military bases considered "ground zero" for epidemic outbreaks?
melomori [17]

The military basis are considered as ''ground zero'' for epidemic outbreaks because of the constant movement of the people. The soldiers are moved from one place to another regularly. They can be in a military base in Africa, than sent in a military base in Asia, after that get back home. Wherever they are, they are in constant touch with people. The diseases that are found in certain places in the world can be very easily transferred to them, and they will easily transfer the disease to their colleagues, to the people in another military base, or to the people back home, thus being the ones that spread out the disease and cause an epidemic of the same.
