A very critical last step in the process of establishing an ethics code is enforcing it. If you develop an ethics code but do not enforce, there was no purpose to doing so. Everyone within the organization should be in agreement and following the ethical behaviors expected of them.

Cr Cash $3,600,000

2022

Dr Research and development expense 1,500,000

Dr Software and development costs 594, 000

Cr Cash 2,094,000

B. $148,500

Explanation:

1. Preparation of the journals entry

2021

Dr Research and development expense $3,600,000

Cr Cash $3,600,000

(To record the expenses incurred on research and development)

2022

Dr Research and development expense 1,500,000

Dr Software and development costs 594, 000

Cr Cash 2,094,000

(1,500,000+594,000)

(To record the software development costs incurred)

2.Calculatation for the amortization for 2022

Using percentage of revenues method

Amortization= Current revenue/Total revenue* Software development costs

Amortization=$1,560,000/$7, 800,000*$594,000

Amortization=0.2*$594,000

Amortization=$118,800

Using straight line method

Amortization =1/Useful life* Software devel opment costs

Amortization=1/4*$594,000

Amortization=$148,500

Based on the above calculation Tmte expense amounts under straight-line method is higher . Which means that , the amortization is $148,500.

The city wants to pave the road in front of Sam Smith's house. Sam has 110 front feet. The cost to pave is $35 a linear foot and
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

$1,443.75

Explanation:

The total cost for paving Sam's portion of the road = $35 per linear foot x 110 front feet =  $3,850

If the city is going to pay 25% of the total cost, then it will pay $962.50, that would leave a total of $2,887.50 to be paid between Sam and his front neighbor. So Sam's share = $2,887.50 / 2 = $1,443.75

Satchel loses his job and immediately begins looking for another. Other things the same, the unemployment rate
erica [24]

Answer:

C. increases and the labour force participation rate is unaffected.

Explanation:

Unemployment refers to the number of people who are willing, able and are actively seeking work but haven’t found any. The labour force participation rate consists of the total number of people in an economy who are employed or are seeking for work. Although Satchel lost his job, he did not retire nor did he get demotivated and give up on working in the future, instead he is still looking for a job which suggests that he is currently unemployed. This increases the unemployment rate until he is able to find another job. At the same time, the labour force participation rate consists of both the employed and the unemployed. Previously, Satchel was part of the employed in the labour force and is now still in the labour force but as unemployed. Although his title has changed, the labour force participation rate remains unchanged.
