Republicans tend to believe everything against their opinion as “fake news”, never actually taking in real bonafide knowledge.
Because of this, Republicans do not believe in global warming, they only believe in climate change a.k.a. our seasons.
Democrats, you could call them higher educated, do believe in the very real and obvious global warming.

This itself was a revolution, it was a step towards a truly democratic government. They helped give people a sense of fighting against any monarchy because that system oppressed these developing democratic rights.
