In order to reduce the risk of developing chronic disease, saturated fats in food must be replace with unsaturated fats. Ensure consumption of fruits and vegetables; consume whole-grain or high fiber food, limit intake of sugar or sweet treats including sugar-based beverages and limit sodium and caloric intake.
