Poor eating choices are link to chronic diseases for it results to increase weight or deficiency in nutrients. Nevertheless, this could be prevented by changing in behaviors related to physical activity, smoking and diet. Obesity typically confers elevated risks of cardiovascular diseases or hypertension.

In order to reduce the risk of developing chronic disease, saturated fats in food must be replace with unsaturated fats. Ensure consumption of fruits and vegetables; consume whole-grain or high fiber food, limit intake of sugar or sweet treats including sugar-based beverages and limit sodium and caloric intake.
