I think this question is about the last stanza of "That I did always love". For me, Calvary here represents that the speaker is in a great deal of pain. Calvary is the place where Jesus was crucified and He was in great pain. Also, this word, today, represents an experience of extreme suffering.

Which prewriting steps are part of research for an argumentative essay? Select three options. selecting and forming a claim abou
noname [10]

Answer:

Selecting and forming a claim about a specific topic.

Identifying evidence to include to support your reasons.

Investigating counterclaims that go against your claim.

Explanation:

An argumentative essay is one that argues for or against any given issue. This means that the paper must include or contain evidence for the arguments made, support the claims, and thus, making a persuasive presentation.

In writing this type of essay, the prewriting steps will include the selection of the claim or argument that will be the focus. Then comes the identifying of evidence, as support for the argument. Also, investigating any counterclaims that argue against the claims made is also part of the prewriting steps.

Thus, the correct answers are the first, second, and third options.

butalik [34]

Answer:

Paraphasing in the above text is incorrect.

Explanation:

Whenever you paraphrase your text, it is necessary that, after the paragraph ends, you reference the source where you found the idea presented. This reference must be placed in parentheses, where you will put the author's last name and the year of publication of the source.

In the example above, although the individual who wrote the paraphrase had the intention of referring to the source where he found this idea, the reference was presented incorrectly, making the paraphrase a plagiarism.

The correct answer is: all of the answers.

A. A literal interpretation of the Bible.

The most characteristic feature of Puritanism was its respect for the Scripture ( the Bible ) and its desire to know and carry out all its prescriptions. They viewed the Bible as authoritative for all issues on morals and faith. They followed the Bible's spiritual practices without any criticism.

B. The physical existence of the Devil.

The Puritans believed in the physical existence of the Devil and many demons. The Devil was able to posses and cause harm to a man or a woman. The Puritans were petrified of the Devil, they believed it gave power to witches and that's why they engaged in witch hunts.

C. The view that sin resided in all people.
