0.41 or 41%..............is the CW frequency.

Apply Hardy - Weinberg Equilibrium for two Genes.
( CW and CR); according to p^2 + q^2 + 2pq = 1

p^2 = 40, p = 0.447
q^2 = 22, q = 0.413 Frequency of allele 0.41

Total Population = 100
Red Flowers = 40
frequency = 40/100 = 0.4

Pink flowers = 38
frequency = 38/100 = 0.38

white flower = 22
frequency = 22/100 = 0.22

Let:    C^rC^r Red flower = p^2
          C^rC^w Pink flower = 2pq
          C^wC^w   White flower = q^2

Use Hardy Weinberg principle  p^2 + q^2 = 2pq = 1

Frequency of CW allele = 1/2(2pq) + q^2

Divide the 2pq by 2 because, needed to account only for C^w and not the partner C^r.

So, 1/2(0.38) + 0.22 = 0.41 or 41% answer.

Hope this helps!!!!

Answer:

0.41

Explanation:

In a population of 100 four-o'clock flowers there are 40 red-flowered plants (crcr), 38 pink-flowered plants (crcw), and 22 white-flowered plants (cwcw) what is the frequency of the cw allele in this population

four-o'clock flower has two alleles for each gene. making 2*100=200

The white flowered plants have two copies of CW alleles, making 2*22=44

The pink flowered plants have one each, making 1*38

To get the probability or the frequency of occurrence, we simply find

the frequency of the cw allele in this population=

Total number of white flowered plants x two+Total numbered of pink flowered plants*1/(The total population*2)

22*2+38*1/(100*2)

82/200

0.41

liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

They do not belong to the same population

Explanation:

These two similar birds do not belong to the same population because a population is made up of groups of similar organisms of the same species that occupy the same geographical region including the capability to interbreed. This two birds despite the similar markings, they do not have the capability to interbreed thus they are not of the same population.

The correct answer is - observation.

Explanation:

Scientists like Si-Ling Chi, Aristotle, and Mary Anning developed various scientific processes and made discoveries that shaped the history of the world. such discoveries are discoveries related to silkworms and how to make cloth from their cocoons by Si-Ling Chi, developing the scientific method by Aristotle and Contribution to the field of paleontology greatly by Mary Anning.

All these scientists had a different type of skill and ability and one of the skills they had a strong power of observing the things or phenomenon work and many more other aspects of the scientific process.

The field of paleontology changed naturalist's views of biodiversity by showing?
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer: alternative A.

Explanation: Fixism was a current theory during biology history, and it stated that species were always like they are at the present time, not being able to change during time. Darwin's evolutionary theory, developed at the 19th century, said the opposite: species were able to change and they still do it. One way to prove it was studying fossils and its morfologycal characteristics in order to link them to more recent species, and establish a taxonomical connection between them. The study of fossils is know as paleontology, and it this way it changed the naturalist's views.
