The correct answer is option (3) would be beneficial for the malnourished population.

Genetically engineered cereal grains have been of numerous benefits to the society. A genetically engineered cereal variety which can produce its own vitamins and is drought resistant would be beneficial for the malnourished population and to the farmers respectively.

Among the various environmental stresses affecting the crop yield, drought has been an important contributor. Drought tolerant crop varieties grow well during less rainfall or shortage of water and produce a good yield. Drought prone areas have been producing a good yield by using these varieties.

Vitamins play an important role in the nutrition. They are required for a number of metabolic activities in the body. Thus, incorporation of gene coding for the production of vitamins in the cereal grains helps in nourishing the malnourished population as rice is the staple food in many countries.

Aneli [31]

Answer: a. Genetic recombination (crossing over)

b. Can also be explained in terms of crossing over

c. Non disjunction of homologous chromosomes in meiosis 1

Explanation:

The process that allows for the transfer of both the paternal and maternal materials to is the crossing over process that takes at meiosis 1 changing them to secondary spermatocytes. While they are still primary spermatocytes, they are still diploid cells having both the maternal and paternal chromosomes. But since the spermatozoon is an haploid cell, it is able to retail some of both parents chromosome by the crossing over event which takes place between homologous paternal and maternal chromosomes allowing them to exchange materials. Thus the chromosomal contents of the primary spermatocyte differs from that of the spermatozoon.

C. This can occur as a result of the one of the homologous chromosome pair refusing to separate at meiosis 1 with one gamete containing 4 chromosomes/8 sister chromatids and the second having 2 chromosomes/4 sister chromatids.

yulyashka [42]
Oxygen is a small molecule and it's nonpolar, so it easily passes through a cell membrane. Carbon dioxide, the byproduct of cell respiration, is small enough to readily diffuse out of a cell. Small uncharged lipid molecules can pass through the lipid innards of the membrane.

You sprint as hard as you can until you physically can’t run anymore. Describe the contributions of as many systems as you can t
tamaranim1 [39]

When you are running at high intensity many body systems are being influenced by running and providing some responses in your body.

Running stimulates the cardio respiratory system, making your heart work harder by pumping a large amount of blood into your body, the blood flow starts to be fast and to compensate for this effort you will have to breathe more, taking more oxygen for your organs and tissues.

The muscular and bone systems are stimulated and trained providing greater resistance and strength for your muscles and lower bones.

During the run, the urinary system is also affected, because running is able to improve kidney function, allowing the expulsion of toxic substances from your body to be done more efficiently.

Finally, running stimulates the endocrine system by causing it to release hormones of well-being and relaxation that help you rest and feel good after running.
