Which excerpt from "The Enigma Machine” supports the idea that Allied forces expected the Germans to complicate their coding sys

tem? The Enigma machine was invented at the end of World War I by German engineer Arthur Scherbius. He used rotors and an electrical pathway in his design. The telegram was intercepted and deciphered by British intelligence, and it caused such outrage in the US that it helped generate public support for the United States’ entry into the war. After 1938, when the Germans introduced additional rotors and plugs to increase the number of possible combinations, Polish and British cryptologists had already developed alternative methods of recovering the daily keys. The two main weaknesses of the Enigma machine were careless operators and the distribution of the daily key. The daily key was printed on paper, and it had the potential of being captured en route to the field. PLEASE HURRY

After 1938, when the Germans introduced additional rotors and plugs to increase the number of possible combinations, Polish and British cryptologists had already developed alternative methods of recovering the daily keys.

This statement shows that the Allied forces expected the Germans to complicate their system because they had already created a team of cryptologists to figure out different ways to get the codes.

An ideal translation achieves a balance between which two elements?
aniked [119]
An ideal translation achieves a balance between A. accuracy and readability.
When you are translating, your translation needs to be accurate and very close in meaning to the original text. This means that you cannot be too creative when you are translating a scientific text, for example, but rather stick to the original text as much as possible without deviating too much. Also, the text needs to be easily readable and sound as if it were not a translation at all, but rather written in that particular language (even though it is in fact a translation).

miss Akunina [59]

Answer: C) first person point of view

Explanation: The first person point of view describes the narrator's perspective in Shania's diary because Shania relates her own story i.e the story was told from Shania's perspective. To justify this, we often see the words; "I, Me, We, Us" (grammatical first person) been used. Shania spoke alot about her self in the diary and also the events she experienced.
