He believes that God intervenes to relieve the suffering of mortals.

Dioneo’s perspective is about the intervention of celestial or heavenly beings on the affairs of humans. They come to relieve people from their sufferings. He is hopeful that Griselda will be comforted and that Gualtieri will be punished for acting unjustly against his wife.
