Which of the following quotes reveals that the narrator of "The Yellow Wallpaper" may NOT be reliable? Personally, I believe tha

t congenial work, with excitement and change, would do me good. John says the very worst thing I can do is to think about my condition, and I confess it always makes me feel bad. There was some legal trouble, I believe, something about the heirs and coheirs; anyhow, the place has been empty for years. There are things in that paper that nobody knows but me, or ever will... And it is like a woman stooping down and creeping about behind that pattern.

The quote which reveals that the narrator of the Yellow Wallpaper may not be reliable is this: THERE ARE THINGS IN THAT PAPER THAT NOBODY KNOWS BUT ME, OR EVER WILL.... AND IT IS LIKE A WOMAN STOOPING DOWN AND CREEPING ABOUT BEHIND THAT PATTERN.
Looking at the sentence above, one can hardly figure out its meaning. The first part of the sentence makes some sense, but the latter part does not. This shows that the narrator may not really know what she is talking about.

The correct answer is D. There are things in that paper that nobody knows but me, or ever will... And it is like a woman stooping down and creeping about behind that pattern.

Explanation:

An unreliable narrator is a narrator whose words cannot be trusted, this means the narrator is not credible, this can happen if the narrator is insane, mentally ill, naive or immature or lying on purpose, because of this the reader cannot trust completely the narration of events in a story. Additionally to this, most unreliable narrators are first-person narrators and the reader usually notice the narrator's unreliability at some point.

In the case of "The Yellow Wallpaper" written by  Charlotte Perkings Gilman, the reader can notice the first-person narrator is not reliable in "There are things in that paper that nobody knows but me, or ever will... And it is like a woman stooping down and creeping about behind that pattern" because this excerpt shows that the narrator and character is hiding information to other characters and to the reader, besides this, the last part of the excerpt is not clear and shows the narrator might be showing insane behaviors and thoughts as this does not seem to be logical or consistent with the reality. As a result, the quote in option D makes the reader believe it is not wise to trust the narrator completely because is hiding information and the thoughts and ideas of it are not logical.

One afternoon, an old man ordered in a nearby restaurant for breakfast.
He went inside, find a seat and sit comfortably.

Then one smiling waiter approached him and asked: "What's your order for this morning, sir?" The old man replied, "Can I have one rubbery egg and two slices of burnt toast, please?"
The waiter with his two brown eyes glow with awe, answered, "One rubbery egg and two slices of burnt toast? (with an emphasis on the word "rubbery and burnt") Was that correct sir?" "Yes, you just said it right", the man replied.

"Why on earth would you want such a dish?" asked the waiter.
"My wife was out of town and I missed her cooking." replied the old man.
"Oh! I see". the waiter answered with a smirk and walk back scratching his head.

Read the following paragraph:
andrew11 [14]

Answer:

The certified vote count.

Explanation:

In the above text, “...certified vote count, Clinton got 2,865,075 more votes than Trump.”

provides the strongest support claim that “Hilary Clinton was more popular with voters than Donald Trump”. If she wasn't famous or known to people she wouldn't have gotten much votes.
