as always more frightening in his broken English. As if he had mutilated the language in his fury—and now there was nothing to stand between them and his raw, dumb anger. "What is wrong? I will tell you what is wrong. It show no gratitude. It is boastful. I celebrate myself? The best student learns to destroy the teacher?" He mocked Yoyo's plagiarized words. "That is insubordinate. It is improper. It is disrespecting of her teachers—" In his anger he had forgotten his fear of lurking spies: each wrong he voiced was a decibel higher than the last outrage. Alik [6]

Answer: A) It reinforces the idea of the United Nations’ strength and power.

Repetition is often used as a rhetorical device in order to emphasize an idea. It can also be used to provide more weight to a particular topic or to leave a long-lasting image in the listener's mind. In this case, the idea that Roosevelt is trying to emphasize is that the United Nations will strike again, because of its strength and power. By repeating the word "strike," he is making sure that the listener understands the extent of this promise and the power of the UN.

siniylev [52]

The correct answer is B) The first excerpt uses facts and statistics and the second excerpt is told as a story.

We can clearly appreciate how despite both excerpts have the same theme they relay the information in different ways. The first excerpt is clearly an article about Kids from Honduras who were leaving their country due to violence and the author uses statistics to prove his/her point whereas the second one is an excerpt from 'Entrique's Journey' that's related to the refugee situation..
