The most effective way to vary the length of the sentences in this passage is to combine sentences 2,3 and 4 to create a series.

Since these sentences include a series of items of the same characteristics, they can be organized in a list, arranging them in parallel form. This list would be introduced by a colon and each item would be separated by a comma or, ocasionally, with a conjuction.

The final version would be:

Excercise provides many benefits: it strengthens muscles, it helps prevent unhealthful weight gain, and it may reduce the risk of some cancers.

Lelu [443]

Answer:

B. Indecisiveness

Explanation:

Ambivalence, as a general term, is defined as "having mixed feelings" about something. This sentence is no exception. On the one hand, she thinks it would be a good idea to visit her parents' country of birth, but on the other hand, she thinks it would be a bad idea.

Therefore, we can automatically certainty, as she thinks two very conflicting thoughts. Due to her worry of how difficult it would be to get back into the country, she is not necessarily entirely excited either. And while she fears the difficulty of getting back into the country, that is not the only emotion she feels.
