There could be many consequences, physically teens could get STDs if not using a condom or dam, they can also get pregnant during intercourse if they not on the pill or condom. mentally many teens go through a face where there exploring there body and are trying to figure what's comfortable for them, their body might want it but they might not be emotionally ready however some are ready. They could feel pressured into doing something they don't really want to do. abstinence isn't very healthy because it has been proven to benefit the body a lot. however it can help prevent stds.if they aren't educated and still allowed to have sex and abstinence is forced on them it actually causes more pregnancies and stds.
