The murder was committed by Charles, the pool cleaner.

While Charles was being interviewed by the police, he had a key to Mrs. Huffington’s home on a chain around his neck. He said he was out of town from 4 pm the day before the murder until 11 am the day of the murder.

Investigations showed a love letter from Charles in Mrs. Huffington’s mailbox. It said, “I know Mr. Huffington’s in town. Don’t let him come back. Only I can be the one to love you.”

lesya692 [45]

The correct answer is A.

In Wright's "The Man Who Was Almost a Man," a seventeen year old, wants to buy a gun to get the respect he feels he deserves and to show that he is no longer a child.

However, when he has to ask money to buy the gun, he decides to ask his mother instead of his father because he knows his father will immediately say no.

This reflects that Dave and his father do not have a close relationship since Dave doesn't feel that his father would listen to him and consider his request.
