The adjusting entry on December 31 will be
Debit - Interest expense     4,000
Credit -     Interest payable      4,000

Interest = Amount x annual interest x time
Interest = 100,000 x 12% x (4 / 12)
Interest = 4,000

Note: The time is from September 1 to December 31 which would equal to 4 months then over 12 months.

FB Corp. prepares its financial statements in accordance with IFRS. FB acquired 100% of the outstanding common stock of Skarlet,
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

See the attached file below.

Explanation:

There's not much difference between IFRS and U.S. GAAP when it comes to business acquisition.

In accordance with IFRS, FB Corp. would do the following procedure:

(1) record the acquired assets and liabilities at fair value

(2) expense any acquisition related costs such as legal fees

(3) ignore post acquisition costs when determining the values at acquisition

(4) calculate goodwill as the difference between the net assets and the acquisition price less legal fees.

Umnica [9.8K]

Answer:

Total allocated overhead= $14,751.04

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

Activity Cost Pools Activity Rate

Setting up batches $38.50 per batch

Processing Customer orders $86.62 per customer order

Assembling products $7.33 per assembly hour

Data concerning the two products appear below:

Product V91

Number of batches 83

Number of customer orders 74

To allocate overhead, we need to use the following formula:

Allocated MOH= Estimated manufacturing overhead rate* Actual amount of allocation base

Setting up= 38.5*83= 3,195.5

Processing= 86.62*74= 6,409.88

Assembling products= 7.33*702= 5,145.66

Total allocated overhead= $14,751.04

Buyer Henry is going to accept seller Shannon's $282,500 counteroffer. When will this counteroffer become a contract.
zhuklara [117]

The counteroffer will become a contract C. When Henry signs the counteroffer.

Although Shannon is agreeing to the $282,500 and can't change that on her end after she has submitted it, Henry still has to accept it and sign for the counteroffer. For the counteroffer to be contractual they have to be signed because there may be other counter offers coming in that could take the place of Shannon's.
