Laertes's character develop between Act I and Act IV of the play as in Act I, Laertes is calm and dutiful; in Act IV, he is vengeful and does not care about rules.

In Act 1 Scene III, in the play “Hamlet,” before leaving for the sail Laertes comes to meet his sister Ophelia. He warns her not to fall in love with Hamlet. Since Hamlet belonged to the honorable and respected family, his status was far off to be reached by Ophelia. He gives his views that it would be difficult for Hamlet to marry his love rather he had to go with family decisions.

In Act IV Claudius and Laertes plan to kill Hamlet in a distinct manner. He becomes vengeful and wanted to kill Hamlet through any means. They planned to murder Hamlet as firstly, Claudius will give him a drink with poison and then, Laertes will stab him in a duel with the sword which he will poison the tip of it.

In three to five sentences, explain the connection between sentence fluency and proper use of conventions.
AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

1) The connection between fluency and the proper sentence is the use of the convention in punctuation. So the conventions which are on the surface of writing are the specialist usage of the judgment in the structure of writing. And the sentence's rhythm is the fluency and flow of languages, sounds, patterns, like the way that its used on book plays.

2) The purpose of informative writing is to focus on the facts like what something looks like, what it is, and what it is made of. It can also increase the knowledge of a concept or a subject. In the other hand, explanatory writing focus on how something acts, works, and why are things actually happening.

Which characteristics of archetypes best describe
masha68 [24]

Answer:Answer:

1. She lives by her own moral code.

2. She sacrifices herself for her values.

3. She is forced to make a difficult decision.

Explanation:

Sophocles' tragedy "Antigone" tells the story of Antigone, Oedipus' daughter. Her two brothers killed themselves in battle over power after their father's death. At the time of their death, their uncle, Creon, was in power. After the battle, Creon ordered one of her brother's burial with honors, whilst for the other brother he ordered no burial at all - because he dared to contest his brother's reign.

Antigone could not understand why Creon would give such inhumane orders against her brother's burial. She loved her brother and she thought that he deserved a proper burial too. So she buried her brother herself, disobeying Creon's orders.

She believed that even though there were laws in place, some things were above human laws - some thing were universally right and true - the laws of the universe, the laws of the gods. This means that even though Creon was against her brother's burial, Antigone had her own sense of justice and her own system of values, telling right from wrong = She lives by her own moral code.

She sacrificed herself for her values, because Creon condemned her to starvation to death if she kept to her own personal believes and buried her brother. She maintained her position, buried her brother and then killed herself, refusing to be killed by Creon. Her lover (Creon's son) killed himself upon hearing about her death and his mother killed herself too, causing a lot of suffering to Creon.

Therefore, she put her values above her own life and preferred to die for what she believed in, for her own strong sense of justice. She also caused indirect suffering to Creon in revenge, because he lost his son and wife through her death.

Last but not least, she is forced to make a difficult decision, because it's never easy to choose between one's own life and values. Ultimately, Antigone is a strong heroine, remembered by her strength to defy the norms and fight for what is right, even at the cost of her own life.
