Day of Infamy is Walter Lord's grasping, clear re-creation of the Japanese assault on Pearl Harbor on Sunday, December 7, 1941. In splendid detail Walter Lord follows the human dramatization of the immense assault: the spies behind it; the Japanese pilots; the groups on the stricken warships; the men at the runways and the bases; the Japanese pilot who caught an island without any assistance when he couldn't return to his bearer; the commanders, the mariners, the housewives, and the kids who reacted to the assault with outrage, deadness, and sublime mettle. In ordering his perfect work of art, Lord went more than fourteen thousand miles and talked or compared with more than five hundred people on the two sides who were there, making the best record we have of one of the epic occasions in American history.

Answer:

Day of Infamy is Walter Lord's gripping, vivid re-creation of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Sunday, December 7, 1941. In brilliant detail Walter Lord traces the human drama of the great attack. The men at the airfields and the bases; the Japanese pilot who captured an island single-handedly when he could not get back to his carrier; the generals, the sailors, the housewives, and the children who responded to the attack with anger, numbness, and magnificent courage.

In compiling his masterpiece, Lord traveled thousands of miles and spoke or corresponded with over five hundred individuals on both sides who were there, creating the best account we have of one of the epic events in American history.

It is a part of the literature review which summarizes and synthesizes the different ideas from the different sources?
Verizon [17]

Answer:

the body of the review

Explanation:

Literature review consists of reviewing textual media such as articles, books, journals, conference proceedings, among other media composed of texts, regardless of which the review will evaluate the construction of the text and the exposure of ideas and arguments important for that media and for the purpose intended by the author.

The literature review is basically composed of three parts, an introduction (where the basic, general and introductory information of the text are analyzed), the body of the review (where the different ideas and the different sources used to compose them are evaluated) and the conclusion (where resolutions are made of everything that has been written and evaluated).

How are the themes of The Colored Soldiers" and "War Is Kind different?
77julia77 [94]
War is kind is definitely all about a war. The title is an irony what really a war is. The real thing is that war is very unkind and is happening always because there people who send soldiers to wars not thinking about their deaths. On the other hand, The Colored soldiers is a poem to praise black men who served the Army during the civil war. These soldiers fight for freedom from slavery even though they know the risks of their actions and that it may cause them harm.

When you take journeys, especially to other places, your perspective is changed. You see different aspects of the world and notice major differences in other societies and ways of life. Many are confused by these, but some will be able to think deeper into the meanings of these new ways and traditions. You realize the world isn’t exactly what you thought it was. Or if you are on a journey that might be physically or mentally challenging your mind is opened up to new ideas as well. You are mentally and physically stronger which helps you to grow and reflect

Which sentence from the speech BEST supports the claim that Mandela expected support from around the world?
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

"I Am Prepared to Die" is the name given to the three-hour speech given by Nelson Mandela on 20 April 1964 from the dock of the defendant at the Rivonia Trial. The speech is so titled because it ends with the words "it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die".
