Answer

              Ventricular systole begins during the isovolumetric contraction phase of the cardiac cycle.

Explanation

1. Ventricular ejection

The forceful expulsion of blood from the ventricles into the aorta and the pulmonary arteries.

2. Isovolumetric contraction

                     The interval between the closing of the AV valves and the opening of the semilunar valves (aortic and pulmonary valves) is known as isovolumetric contraction. it is the beginig of systole. it is the first chamber systolic event. The myocardial muscle fibers have begun to shorten but have not developed enough pressure in the ventricles to overcome the aortic and pulmonary end-diastolic pressures and open the aortic and pulmonary valves. During this period of muscle fiber contraction, the ventricular volumes do not change.

3. Ventricular filling

                 In this stage AV valve is opened and the blood that has accumulated in atria flow rapidly into ventricles. The ventricular volume increase rapidly. A third heart sound known as S3 is heared during this stage.

4. Isovolumetric relaxation

                  It is the beginning of diastole. The AV valve are closed at beginig. The atrium in diastole has been filling with blood on top of the closed AV valve, causing atrial pressure to rise gradually. The pressure in the ventricles continues to drop. Ventricular volume is at a minimum and is ready to be filled again with blood.

An increased rate of breathing as a result of an increased buildup of carbon dioxide in the bloodstream would be best described
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer;

Responsiveness

Excretion

Explanation;

Excess carbon dioxide must be removed from the body to stop it reaching toxic levels. As the blood flows through the lungs, excess carbon dioxide passes out of the blood and into the alveoli by diffusion. It is then removed from the lungs when we exhale (breathe out).

-Carbon dioxide helps remove carbon dioxide (a waste gas that can be toxic) from your body. The lungs' intake of oxygen and removal of carbon dioxide is called gas exchange. Gas exchange is part of breathing.

The types of cells found in the parathyroid gland are the parathyroid cells (productive glandular cells) and the oxyphil cells.
IRINA_888 [86]

Answer:

false

Explanation:

The parathyroid gland refers to the four small endocrine glands located in the neck region behind the thyroid. It secretes the parathyroid hormone or parathormone which regulates the calcium levels in our bodies. It comprises two types of cells which are:

a. The oxyphil cells appear at the onset of puberty and they have no known functions. They appear pink or orange when stained with hematoxylin and eosin stain.

b. The chief cells are more abundant compared to the oxyphil cells and stain dark purple by the action of hematoxylin and eosin stain. Their major function is to produce parathyroid hormone which regulates the amount of calcium in the body.
