A blood cell drifts along with the flow of blood through an artery that has a section partially blocked by fatty deposits on the

artery wall. As the blood cell moves from the wide region of the artery into the narrow region (with the wall deposits), it experiences 1. No change in pressure. 2. An increase in pressure. 3. More information is needed to determine whether the pressure increases or decreases. 4. A decrease in pressure

3) An increase in  pressure.

The blood moves with lower pressure in the wider regions of the artery and with comparatively higher pressure in the narrower regions of the artery.

This is because blood is pushed against the artery walls.

Due to fatty deposits in the arteries, the narrower regions become more clogged thereby experiencing an increase in the blood pressure. This may even cause to the arterial burst.
