Embrace your friend personality and show her love no matter what. Tell her to loosen up everything's going to be alright. Take some deep inhales and exhales with your bestie.⇆ She can either go this way or that way. It's totally up to her to be optimistic and to be herself.

I would notify a trusted adult to handle the situation. Depression and anxiety disorders can stem from a phobia or phobias and eventually spiral into something more serious such as suicide, and I do not want the situation to escalate any more than it already is. Self-consciousness should always take priority under a life.
