Hamlet`s Ghost compares Claudius to a snake. In the bible the serpent represents the Devil when trying to tempt Adam and Eve. The snake is known for its craftiness, and is able to carry out his devious schemes. By comparing Claudius to a snake, Shakespeare (the author) has shown us the manipulative evil side of Claudius.

The death of Hamlet’s father is strikingly similar to the garden of Eden. Hamlet’s father is killed by poison being put into his ear. In the garden of Eden, the serpent pours temptation into Adam and Eve’s ears and they are banned from the perfect garden. The death of Hamlet’s father destroys Hamlet’s so called “perfect life” and his life is a muck when his mother marries Claudius. The serpent represents both Claudius’ manipulative evil spirit and intentions, and Hamlet’s life edging closer to destruction.

Therefore, the correct answer must be the second statement.

Why did some people in China consider Mao Zedong a despot?
vladimir1956 [14]

The correct answer is - A) the Chines Communist Party harassed and tortured people who were against Mao's ideas.

Mao Zedong, the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, was considered by many people in China as a despot, and they most certainly had lots of justified reasons for that.

Mao was a tyrant, and he was extreme towards anyone that he considered as a threat to himself or the communist ideology. He did not thought twice before sending people to harass, torture, imprison, and murder people that were not seen fondly by him.

It also might have something to do with the fact that from his politics, around 20 million people died during his reign, which make him as one of the worst leaders in the human history.

How has the growth of the federal government changed the process of constituent advocacy
tester [92]

A constituent is a person who authorizes another to act in his or her behalf, as a voter in a district represented by an elected official.

Advocacy is the backing, or promotion of something or someone; public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy.

The growth of the federal government began with the Presidency of Franklin Roosevelt. To help combat the Great Depression, Roosevelt developed his "New Deal Plan" that widened government jobs and updated existing ones. The United States emerging as a military power after World War II also had an effect on the federal government. The government widening has had an effect on how government officials gain constituent support on this new wide variety of leaders through not only phone calls, in person meetings, and letters, but also through technology such as paid radio and television advertisements, news-broadcasts and press conferences, email, and social media. Through technological advances, federal government growth has the power to reach wider audiences.
