There are 2 main hormones regulating blood sugar levels. They are called insulin and glucagon.

When we eat something suggary (like a banana), the consequent rise in blood glucose level causes the pancreas to produce INSULIN (which promotes glucose difusion to the muscles and livre, lowering blood glucose). Later when the blood glucose is consumed for energy production, the blood sugar level decreases signaling the pancreas to produce GLUCAGON (which promotes glucose storage mobilization, rising blood glucose)

Which end of an earthworm contains an organ that can detect smells? Use observations from the lab to support your answer.Which e
mote1985 [20]

Answer:

Anterior end

Explanation:

You have a pretty good shot at guessing this, because the earthworm has very little going on at the posterior end except the anus. And you probably saw this in lab, too.

I've attached a picture of the earthworm anatomy. Worms can't smell in the strictest sense, but they can use their receptors as kind of a combo smell-taste thing, and those are located in the anterior end.

The grades of a science test are normally distributed. Thanh finds that his grade on the test has a z-score of –2.5. Which of th
Tom [10]

The right answer is Thanh's grade is 2.5 standard deviations below the mean of the test grades.

The z scores are standard deviations. If, for example, a tool returns a z score of +2.5, it means that the result is a standard deviation of 2.5.

Very high or very low (negative) z scores associated with very low p values are at the ends of the normal distribution.
