Answer:

8 higher-priced speaker and 24 lower-priced speaker docks are sold.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the no. of  higher-priced speaker sold

We are given that the store sold three times as many lower-priced speaker docks as higher-priced speaker docks.

So,  the no. of lower-priced speaker sold = 3x

Cost of 1 higher-priced speaker dock = $190

Cost of x higher-priced speaker dock = $190x

Cost of 1 lower-priced speaker dock = $80

Cost of 3x lower-priced speaker dock = $80(3x)=$240x

So, total cost = 190x+240x=430x

We are given that Combined sales totaled $3,440.

So, 430 x = 3440

x = \frac{3440}{430}

x =8

So,The no. of higher-priced speaker sold is 8

The no. of lower-priced speaker sold = 3x = 3(8) =24

Hence 8 higher-priced speaker and 24 lower-priced speaker docks are sold.

190x +80(3x) = 3440
x represents how many are sold. then multiply 80×3
80 \times 3 = 240
then add your x together
190x + 240x = 430x
then you must divide your x by 3440
3440 \div 430 = 8
8 is how many higher-priced speakers take you 8 and multiple it by 3 to get how many lower-priced speakers
8 \times 3 = 24
you have 24 low priced speaker and 8 high priced speakers.

Which oh the following are among the five basic postulates of Euclidean geometry
igomit [66]

1. A straight line segment can be drawn joining any two points.

2. Any straight line segment can be extended indefinitely in a straight line.

3. Given any straight line segment, a circle can be drawn having the segment as radius and one endpoint as center.

4. All right angles are congruent.

5. If two lines are drawn which intersect a third in such a way that the sum of the inner angles on one side is less than two right angles, then the two lines inevitably must intersect each other on that side if extended far enough. This postulate is equivalent to what is known as the parallel postulate.

A rectangular floor tile is shown it dimensions are given to the nearest 0.1 metres the tile is only able to sustain maximum pre
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

736 N

Step-by-step explanation:

The dimensions of the rectangular tile are:

Length = 2.3m

Width = 1.6m

The pressure exerted on a surface is given by the formula

p=\frac{F}{A}

where

p is the pressure

F is the force exerted

A is the area on which the force is exerted

In this problem, we have:

p=200 N/m^2 is the maximum pressure that the tile is able to sustain

A is the area of the tile, which can be calculated as the product between length and width, so:

A=L\cdot w =(2.3)(1.6)=3.68 m^2

Re-arranging the formula for F, we can find the maximum force that can be safely applied to the tile:

F=pA=(200)(3.68)=736 N

I need the answer on number 5
luda_lava [24]
I believe Z=18
Example:
2/3z + 1 = 13
Multiply both sides: 2/3z * 3 + 1 * 3 = 13 * 3
Refine: 2/3z + 3 = 39
Subtract from both sides: 2z + 3 - 3 = 39 - 3
Refine: 2z=36
2z/2 = 36/12
Z=18

What is the solution to this system of equations? Y= 2x - 3.5 x - 2y = -14
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

x=7

y=10.5

Step-by-step explanation:

1. You can apply the method of substitution, as you can see below:

- Substitute y=2x-3.5 into the other equation and solve fo x:

x-2(2x-3.5)=-14\\x-4x+7=-14\\x=7

- Substitute the value of x obtain into the first equation, then the value of y is:

y=2(7)-3.5\\y=10.5
