The correct answer to the question: Which of the following excerpts from part one of "Trifles" suggest that Mrs. Hale believes Mrs. Wright may have had a motive for killing her husband, would be, MRS. HALE: She used to wear pretty clothes and be lively, when she was Minnie Foster, one of the town girls, singing in the choir.
Explanation:
"Trifles", a play that was written by Susan Glaspell, and which was first presented in 1916, narrates the story of the investigation of the murder of John Wright, and the process that takes place as his wife, Mrs. Wright is suspected of having committed the act. During the scene where the County Attorney, the Sheriff, Mr. Hale and the two latters´ wives come into the Wright home, the two women: Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters, are left in the kitchen. As they observe the scene before them, the two of them start to notice some things that seem strange to them, especially given what they know about the role of a wife. But there is a specific moment when Mrs. Hale, accompanying Mrs. Peters into the front room closet, tells the latter, after she remarks on the coldness of the room, that Mrs. Wright changed a lot after her marriage to Mr. Wright, that she used to be much happier and involved in activities in town, while now, after her marriage, she has become isolated and seems sadenned all the time. This remark from Mrs. Hale points to the fact that the woman is already observing the evidence and gathering conclusions from what she can see around her, and from what she knows about Mrs. Wright.

I left home as early as 7 am, I needed to get to the train station. I did not want to be late on my first day at work. Luckily for me, I was able to get a bus to the train station just on time. I paid for my ticket and sat down whole waiting for the train to move. It was just a few minutes, but the anxiety I felt made it seem as though I'd been sitting for hours.
The train blared its horn, and we moved. I removed my phone to message my partner, to douse the tension I was feeling. I messaged him and he was trying to calm my nerves. I couldn't fathom why I was restless, the adrenaline rush was quite much for me. I asked him for permission to video call, and he accepted, we were conversing if my memory serves me right, he was complimenting me when I heard a loud screech. My phone fell down on the floor right away.
There were screaming everywhere and my head was banging, I was trying to focus but somehow, I was lying down in an unusual manner. I tried to look through the window, and I was seeing the sky. I couldn't piece it all together, but by the time I got to the window, amidst all the chaos in the cabin it finally made sense to me.
The train had derailed!

Explanation:
Winter symbolizes cold, still, fruitless time of no change, when things aren't born, renewed, or changed.
By naming the two characters, Mr. and Mrs. Winter by this season, the writer symbolizes the coldness and childlessness in their life. It seems that they lost the child, but they approached the grief from the calculated, rational point - not acknowledging the loss and emotions, and continuing to act rationally on the outside as if nothing is happening.
This can be connected to the coldness and stillness of the winter, the snow that covers all the flora and vegetation, and seems to last forever in the icy embrace.
