5 what was the condition mr. madoff imposed on people marketing his investments? why do you think he did this?

History
1 answer:
Gnesinka [82]1 year ago
7 0

They were not allowed to list Madoff himself in any marketing materials because he was not registered with the SEC and neither were the ones working under his orders.

He did not want to draw attention to himself because he knew what he was doing was illegal and when attention was eventually drawn, it was not his name on the line because his name wasn't listed anywhere.

What language does Roosevelt use to emphasize the unique circumstances surrounding the speech
12345 [234]

He used vivid, emotional words throughout the speech.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt: Yesterday, December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan. The label “infamy” foreshadows the tone of the entire speech.

The central purpose of this speech was to promote a war against japan. Roosevelt's speech had an immediate and long-lasting impact on American politics. Congress declared war on Japan, with only one Representative, Jeannette Rankin, voting against the declaration.

Making Inferences The treaty states that not only lands now known but even lands "to be found hereafter" belong to one or the ot
kumpel [21]

Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

The phrase in this question is from the treaty made between Spain and Portugal in 1494. Even though it was centuries ago land continues to be divided in a similar fashion. Therefore, I believe that if a new planet were discovered today it's land would also be divided in the same way. The first group to discover would most likely claim it for themselves, a war would then break out for control, which would ultimately lead to a similar treaty being drafted and accepted dividing the land between the parties like it has always occurred.

William Shakespeare was among the most important writers of the Northern Renaissance. He gained popularity as a poet and _______
Zinaida [17]
1. He gained popularity as a poet and playwright. Apart from writing poems (mostly sonnets), Shakespeare was most famous for writing numerous plays which are often performed at theaters even today. He is perhaps the world's most famous playwright ever.
2. His prominent works include plays such as Romeo and Juliet, The Merchant of Venice, and Macbeth. Romeo and Juliet, as well as Macbeth, are two of his four most famous tragedies (along with King Lear and Hamlet), whereas The Merchant of Venice is one of his most popular comedies.
3. The correct answer is Classicism. Shakespeare didn't write a lot about religion, so Catholicism is definitely incorrect. Realism wasn't created yet as a literary era, which is why that is incorrect as well. However, he did explore Classicism a lot, especially the culture of ancient Greece.
