Read the following paragraph:
andrew11 [14]

Answer:

The certified vote count.

Explanation:

In the above text, “...certified vote count, Clinton got 2,865,075 more votes than Trump.”

provides the strongest support claim that “Hilary Clinton was more popular with voters than Donald Trump”. If she wasn't famous or known to people she wouldn't have gotten much votes.

What language in the declaration seems condemn slavery without specifically mentioning it
spayn [35]
"All men are created / born equal" is probably the best quote because it implies equality and all men are seen as the same in the eyes of God. This "condemns" slavery because it suggests there is no superiority/inferiority to others.

Why might an author include dialect in a story? check all that apply. to allude to a character’s regional background to describe
n200080 [17]
Here are the answers as to why an author includes dialect in a story: to allude to a character’s regional background; to allude to a character’s social background; and to add to the cultural context of a story’s setting. When we say dialect, this is the specific form of language that is used by someone who is from a specific region. In other words, this is called as a local language or vernacular. When this is added in a story, this gives it a more culturally specific form of approach.

2. Review the author’s use of the word “American” throughout Chunk 2. How is the narrator using the word to convey her feelings
Damm [24]

Answer:

Whenever the author uses the word American with quotation marks, it is to ridicule the Americanized people who started believing they are truly American and decided to leave behind their heritage and history. The author, Anzia Yezierska, talks about how she finally moved to America in order to pursue her dreams, happiness, and financial stability, and started living with and working for a family from the same Polish village she comes from. The family completely forgot about where they come from and pretended they were truly American, or rather "American" as Yezierska would put it.

Through this usage, we can see how quickly the author's thoughts and feelings about the "land of freedom" changed. She moved there in order to earn her own money and finally be happy. However, what she encountered was loneliness, misunderstanding, shame, hatred, inadequacy, etc. which she wasn't hoping for. Therefore, her feelings about America shifted from childish exhilaration towards sad acceptance and ultimately hatred.
