How does the structural organization of the article support Dr. Pickhardt’s concept of adolescent rebellion?
Arisa [49]

Answer:

It is important to remember that not all rebellion is bad. While it can certainly feel distressing, it is a natural process of your child’s maturation into a independent adult. Teens who continue to closely follow their parents rules and ideals may have greater difficulty in their adulthood then you realize. In order to grow into an independent adult, your child needs to learn how to depend on you less, take on more responsibility, make decisions and solve problems, form their own identity, and discover their own life values. Without rebellion, even a very mild form, your teen isn’t able to complete this process.

Rebellion is not inherently bad. It is viewed negatively by parents because their child is beginning to break away from the rules parents have outlined. While there are certainly dangers with more extreme forms of rebellion, the overall act does not reflect poorly on your child at all. Is it frustrating? Yes. But it doesn’t always mean your child is bad. Rebellion is a unique combination of hormones, developing biological processes, as well as emotional and mental independence.

Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
The author gives a clearly biased opinion on the value of school students wearing uniforms and develops her argument logically giving the pros and cons of using uniforms The author says the students "will have more time to devote to studies" if not worrying about clothes,"be more focussed on learning and less on appearance" , "up front costs" and in the long term saving on money and "encouraging a greater sense of community" .

Which details from the text reflect the cultural context of the historical period in which Marco Polo wrote his travelogue? Chec
lesya [120]

The correct answers are options B, C and D.

Marco Polo's cultural context are represented first in the quote about the malik of Homuz who had a castle. Malik means king in Arabic, and the Kingdom of Hormuz existed in the Persian Gulf between the 10th and 17th centuries.

Secondly, the cite about ships which made voyages in twenty days also refers to the cultural framework of Polo's time.

Finally, there is a reference to Saracen people, a term used to mention Muslims in the Middle Ages.

Which part of this excerpt from Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol shows that Scrooge is willing to work on improving himself?
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

“conduct me where you will. I went forth last night on compulsion, and I learnt a lesson which is working now. To-night, if you have aught to teach me, let me profit by it.”

Explanation

I believe this is the answer because Scrooge is saying that he wants to learn a lesson. Saying he will 'profit' by it is saying that it will be beneficial to him. Hope I helped!
