"brown wolf" is a story written by jack london and it belongs to the book love of life and other stories, it reflects the conexion and love between a man and his dog, and the real nature of the animal, which was free, strong, determined, and with instincts. skiff miller (the owner) shared that i long for his past.

skiff felt that connexion because of their past, a hard life, hard work, full of hard things and difficulties, and even when the story takes a turn and they get lost in the cold, with no food and their survival instinct of each one comes around that connexion was never broken.

but at the end that animal instinct comes out afloat and the wolf reminds his freedom and independence, and as an act love because of that connexion, closeness, complicity and that projection, skiff decided to let him be free and accept his decision.
