I think Snowball was dreaming to have the animals in better conditions and whatever he did and proposed , he was thinking not about his own , but about his fellow animals. The same as Stallin, he had a dream.Probably, if he had not been chased and expelled from the project, things would have improved for the animals in the farm.He had the strong belief that the animals there could and deserved to be happy and that was Sallin´s ambition too.

The conflict narrated in the Animal Farm novel is based on the real life events that ocurred during World War II. It is about a group of animals who rebel against their farmer in order to create a place where they can be equal, free and happy. This rebellion was commanded by Snowball (who plays the role of Lenin) and Napoleon (who represents the Stalin behaviour at that time) but Napoleon later blames anything that goes wrong on Snowball. That’s why Snowball's quick escape under the hedge similar to how Stalin was expelled. Eventhough Snowball's dream for the animals on the farm is the same as the dream of the Communist Party, at the end of the story however, they are betrayed and the farm ends up as bad it was before. In summary, through this story the writer wanted to represent Joseph Stalin's betrayal of the Russian Revolution

Furthermore, "Orphic Sayings" was one of Alcott's contribution to The Dial. Alcott's work got favorable reviews and was considered highly valuable for its philosophy.
