According to an article published by The New York TImes called "A Thief Dines Out, Hoping Later to Eat In" Gangaram Mahes was a homeless man who used to go well dressed into a fine restaurant and spend 50 dollars then leave without paying trying to get into jail in order to have a place that would ofer three meals a day and a clean bed. He committed the same crime 31 times according to police reports. Louis Fasulo was a supervising lawyer at Legal Aid opinion is that what is really bad is the fact that no one said anything about the faact that Mr. Mahes would go to jail so many times and no one questioned it. Fasulo said: "No one took the time," also Mr. Fasulo thinks jail has became a warehouse for the poor, he said during the winter, "they take batteries out of cars and stand there waiting, so they can be out of the cold,"

Gatsby spends five years dreaming about Daisy and being reunited with her. Describe Daisy the “colossal” illusion. How does his
Firlakuza [10]
Daisy was in a relationship with Gatsby at an early age. He has been gone for 10 years and she had thought he died in WW1. Gatsby was Daisy's first love and she had put him and their relationship on a pedestal. At first their is disbelief that Gatsby is in fact not dead but alive. She is madly in love with him and does not understand how he is still alive and is enraptured by the enigma and mysterious circumstances his appearance has brought into her life. After the death of Myrtle Wilson, Daisy is able to return back to her normal life. The ease in which she is able to actually do this is testament to the societal views towards women at the time. Women were viewed as helpless and Daisy was probably thought incapable of a vicious murder so the police did not pursue an indictment. Her husband was also a powerful businessman and must have certainly had clout in the political sphere.

With the help of inductive reasoning, he reached the conclusion that segregation laws are all unjust.

Explanation:

In the three part deductive statement, the major premise was all the laws that degrade the human personality are unjust. The minor premise was segregation laws degrade the human personality and therefore the conclusion was that the segregation laws are unjust.

This conclusion has been derived from the evidences like the hate filled policemen kick brothers and sisters. African American caught in an airtight prison of poverty. They were excluded from amusement parks. All this degraded the human personality and were unjust.
