The policy of popular sovereignty brought about fierce competition between the anti- and pro-slavery forces in the Kansas Territ

ory. The pro-slavery forces brought in residents of nearby Missouri to illegally vote to sway Kansas politics. These illegal voters were known as “border ruffians.” The illegal activity did not stop with politics; the border ruffians engaged in intimidation and violence against anti-slavery settlers. What could have been done to stop the illegal voting? What about the violence?

The illegal voting would have been stopped or a least greatly reduced with the implementation of proper voter registration and state IDs. Of course, with the rudimentary technology of the era, falsification of ID documents would have been relatively easier than it is today. However IDs and voter registration would have presented an additional obstacle to border ruffians.

The violence would only have been stopped by the concourse of a national guard, a state police and civil deputies from the state protecting voter, voting locations and the transportation of ballots.

Explain the causes and effects of the rise of Islamic states over time
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

The Islam occurred in the sixth century AD, and with its appearance, the first Islamic state appeared on the scene, and later in history numerous Islamic states formed. The Islam unified multiple different tribes, which became a powerful force, and used the opportunity that some of the empires were on the downfall, so they attacked them and quickly expanded. As they were expanding, they were spreading the religion as well, forcing the people to accept it, or if they refused they were persecuted or killed. This has resulted in rapid change of the religious map of multiple regions, with the Islam becoming dominant in North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and South Asia. Little by little the vast Islamic state was fracturing, and multiple different states occurred, with the Islamic law being in place. The Islamic states initially were prospering, developing, having big achievements in technology and sciences. Unfortunately, the fundamentalists wing prevailed, and the progress stopped, so the Islamic states started to fall behind, and that can be seen very well in the present.

What motivated the Red Guards to create chaos during the Cultural
vazorg [7]

Answer:

The right answer here is B. A desire to destroy anything that could threaten communism in China.

Explanation:

The Red Guards turned into one of the most effective and dealiest instruments of Chairman Mao Zedong´s manipulation during the Cultural Revolution. The real purpose of Mao was to destroy and remove from office his political opponents and critics, thus consolidating his position as Red China´s paramount leader. He used his wife Jiang Qing and other radicals to launch and promote the campaign. Its official aim was to destroy vestiges of the old, traditional, "reactionary" Chinese culture - such as Confucianism, Buddhism - and burgueois, rightist elements in the Communist Party. The Red Guards movement started in universities and schools. Mao was delighted about them and allowed their abuses. They publicly denounced, vilified, beat and humilliated hundreds of thousands of innocent people. They were a magnificent weapon of caos and destruction.

Kaluluwa ng kultura?
Daniel [21]

Answer:

Wika.

Paliwanag:
