Answer:

A. It would decrease.

Explanation:

If the producer population is decreased in an ecosystem then this would have a negative impact on the herbivore population.

The population of herbivore would decline as the herbivores are the organism that feeds on the green plant to obtain nutrition and energy, the producers in the ecosystem are most commonly the green plants and hence, if the producers are removed then the herbivores that depend on them for obtaining nutrition and energy would eventually die and their population would decrease.

How Can Sex-Linked Traits Be Identified
kkurt [141]

If a gene is found only on the X chromosome and not the Y chromosome, it is said to be a sex-linked trait. Because the gene controlling the trait is located on the sex chromosome, sex linkage is linked to the gender of the individual. Usually such genes are found on the X chromosome. The Y chromosome is thus missing such genes (See Diagram above.). The result is that females will have two copies of the sex-linked gene while males will only have one copy of this gene. If the gene is recessive, then males only need one such recessive gene to have a sex-linked trait rather than the customary two recessive genes for traits that are not sex-linked. This is why males exhibit some traits more frequently than females.

Due to the Earth's shape and orientation, areas near the equator receive the greatest amount of energy from the Sun. Ocean curre
kirza4 [7]

The answer is B. Warm current move away from the equator towards the poles while cold currents concurrently move towards the equator. This process is known as thermohaline circulation. The cold currents due to higher density move in the great depth of the oceans while the warmer currents are on the surface due to their relatively lower density.

Calculate how long it will take for one full base pair mutation to occur. Explain your reasoning with by constructing a mathemat
scoray [572]

Answer:

Since the gene mutates at a rate of 0.76 base pairs every 17.1 million years, to find out the time it would take for 1 base pair to mutate can be calculated by dividing 17.1 million years by 0.76

17,100,000 ÷ 0.76 = 22.5 million years

The following equation can be used to describe this:

μ = [(r2/N2) − (r1/N1)] × ln (N2/N1) = (f1 − f2) × ln (N2/N1)

r1 = the observed number of mutants at time point 1

r2 = the observed number of mutants at the next time point

N1 and N2 are the numbers of cells at time points 1 and 2

Hope that answers the question, have a great day!
