The excerpt that best develops the central ideo of Henry Petroski's "The Evolution of Useful Things is the third one:

"Again, it is not that form follows function but, rather, that the form of one thing follows from the failure of another thing to function as it would be."

Petroski argues that what moves inventors to invent are the perceived shortcomings of the products that we use, and how to improve them. Petroski traces the evolution of inventions and how creators involve in the process, and how form follows failure and how to overcome it in the process of technological evolution.

Write a short paragraph explaining the principle of “don’t say or do anything online that you wouldn’t say or do face to face.”
gtnhenbr [62]

Answer: If you wouldn't say it to there face don't say it online.

Explanation: When you say something to someone in person you are most likely to not say anything rude or be overly opinionated, you might fight or argue but when online people tend to say nasty stuff. For example let's say someone looks bad, in person you would probably just ignore it but online a person would say you look bad or clean yourself up. That would make someone feel bad about themself, or they would believe you. If you ignored it online they would feel better that your not beating them up for it. The concept is to only say online what you would say in person.
