<h2>Answer:</h2>

<u>The osmosis will be observed in the beaker leading the movement of water into the dialysis bag from the beaker.</u>

<h3>Explanation:</h3>
  • Osmosis is the process of movement of water from a dilute solution to a concentrated solution through a semipermeable membrane.
  • In the beaker the solution will be dilute than the glucose iodine solution in bag.
  • Due to this concentration difference, the water water from the starch water solution is moved into the bag through the dialysis membrane.

Hence the process of osmosis will be observed.

There would be no movement of starch through the membrane of the dialyzing tube.

<u>Explanation:</u>

In order to check the permeability of dialyzing tube to glucose, starch and iodine an experiment can be done. In the experiment starch and glucose are added inside a dialyzing tube and placed it inside  a beaker containing water and iodine mixed together. The color of the solution in the beaker in the beginning was yellow amber.

After placing the tube inside the beaker for 30 minutes, observations are recorded.  The contents of the tube turned blue black due to the reaction between starch and iodine. This implies that iodine has moved into the tube through the semi permeable membrane.

Adding Benedictine reagent to the contents of the beaker turned it yellow indicating the presence of glucose in the beaker. This implies that glucose has passes through the membrane into the beaker. But no color change is observed in the beaker after the experiment.

If starch had moved into the beaker, the color would have been blue black due to starch reacting with iodine. But this doesn’t happen indicating that the membrane is impermeable to starch and starch shows no movement in this experiment.

Which statements describe analogous structures? Select three options. Analogous structures indicate a common ancestor. Analogous
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

The correct answers are:

Analogous structures do not indicate a common ancestor. Analogous structures have the same function but a different structure. An example of an analogous structure is the wing of a bat and a butterfly.

Explanation:

Analogous structures are the structures that have a similar function in various organisms but their anatomic structure is different from one another in reality. Analogous structures are do not indicate a common ancestor.

An analogous structures example is the wings of the bat and butterfly as they are both used for flying but their structure is different anatomically from one another.
