The correct answer is option A, They will have a large amount of genetic variation

Reason -

The transfer of pollens from the flower of one plant to the flower of another plant,  is termed as cross pollination.

During cross pollination, two major instances can occur –

a) The transferred pollens may be of wild nature  due to which fertilization of eggs do not take place .

b) The transferred pollens  can fuse with the egg of the parent plant and results into offspring’s that shall carry the characteristics of both the genetically distinct plants thereby producing hybrid plants.

USF The chromosomes of the species known as Vulcans together contain 24% adenine. Apply Chargaff’s rules to calculate the percen
Gwar [14]

Answer:

Thymine = 26%,

Adenine = 26%

Guanine = 24%

Cytosine = 24%

Explanation:

Chargaff's stated that the DNA of any cell has the same content of purine (A and G) and pyrimidine (T and C) bases. In the DNA molecule, T pairs with A (T–A), and G pairs with C (G–C). In consequence, according to this base pair-rule, the amount of Thymine (T) should be equal to the Adenine (A), and the amount of Cytocine (C) should be equal to the Guanine (G).

In this example, the content of A is 26%, and thereby the amount of the remaining bases is: 48 % (26 + 26 = 52 >> 100 - 52 = 48), where C= 24% and G=24%.

Single-celled organisms are able to maintain internal stability because they
Ratling [72]
Eliminate B and D, not all single celled organism carry out through photosynthesis , they called singled celled organism and not work with other cell, it's either A and C, single celled organism is not a complex organism. so you can eliminate letter C.

so the best answer is A, although they have multiple organs system to maintain their internal stability.

1. An advantage of light microscopes compared to electron microscopes is that light microscopes A)allow you to view living cells
Mariana [72]

Answer:

1. The correct answer would be  A) allow you to view living cells, while electron microscopes do not.

There are many advantages of light microscope over electron microscope such as:

  • It is easy to use as compared to the electron microscope.
  • It enables us to view both alive as well as dead specimen whereas electron microscope can be used to view dead specimen only.
  • Light microscopes are much cheaper and have much lower maintenance cost as compared to the electron microscope.

2. The correct answer would be C) scanning electron microscope

Scanning electron microscope or SEM is a type of electron microscope which is used to observe surface topography and composition of the specimen. It can achieve resolution of up to 1 nanometer.

3. The correct answer would be 400x

The total magnification of the microscope can be calculated by multiplying the powers of the objective lens and that of the eye lens.

Thus, the magnification of the specimen would be 40*10 = 400x.

Why can’t nucleic acids be formed by sugars alone?
Fofino [41]

Answer:

Nucleic acids

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) are made up of nucleic acids found in the nuclei of living cells. They are the vehicles of genetic inheritance.

Nucleic acids are condensation polymers of nucleotides. To understand their functions you will find it helpful to look at how their molecules are built up and the structures of these molecules.
