The cartoonist's purpose in this cartoon is to make people laugh at a play on words.

While the cartoon is based on the idea that fungal bands are an effective method for the biological control of Asian longhorn beetles, the main aim of the cartoonist is to protray that idea in a comical way, depiting how these fungi actually form a music band called "the fun guys" (fungal/fun gal - fungis) and they eliminate the beetles by playing their music, that awful racket as the beetle says.

The answer is To make people laugh at a play on words.

The cartoon doesn't actually show how fungi eliminates longhorn beetles, or indicates substantial danger for the beetle. Instead, it shows the beetle's (Beatles?) annoyance about the racket the fungi "Fun Guys" are making.

Which phrase from the excerpt best reflects Hamlet’s state of mind?
MrMuchimi
The phrase from the excerpt that best reflects Hamlet's state of mind is C. How weary, stale, ...
This is because Hamlet is weary, meaning tired, from having to decide so much what he is supposed to do. On one hand, he wants to avenge his father's death by killing his own uncle. On the other hand, he is fatigued, and quite suicidal, which is obvious from his soliloquy, To be or not to be.

Identify the part of speech of the italicized word in each sentence. Sheila’s mother can drive us to the mall. That song is stuc
Yuki888 [10]

Sheila’s(adj) mother(n) can(v) drive(v) us(pn) to(prep) the(adj) mall(n).

That(adj) song(n) is(v) stuck(adj) in(prep) my(adj) head(n).

The(adj) teacher(n) handed(v) the(adj) math(adj) test(n) back(adv) today(adv).

There are no words italicized in the question, so I labeled them all according to the following information.

A noun (n) is a person, place, thing or idea. Nouns are often the subject of the sentence or an object in the sentence.

A pronoun(pn) takes the place of a noun. They refer back to a noun and can show gender.

An adjective(adj) describes a noun. It is often found directly in front of a noun. The, a, an are all considered adjectives, and have their own subcategory of adjectives, so they can also be called articles.

A verb (v) is an action or state of being word. Action verbs are easy to identify as they are things that you can do. State of being verbs connect the subject to its description.

An adverb (adv) describes verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. They can answer the question: when? where? how? how often?

A preposition (prep) is a word that tells where one noun is in relation to another noun. A preposition is always followed by a noun.

The night dragged on with an endless, bitterly cold routine of pumping, steering and working  the radio. We were getting no replies to our Mayday Calls - which was not surprising in this  remote corner of the world.

Sue's head had swollen alarmingly; she had two enormous black eyes, and now she showed us  a deep cut on her arm. When I asked why she hadn't made more of her injuries known before  this, she replied, “I didn't want to worry you when you were trying to save us all."
