Protein synthesis actually begins in the nucleus when ___15___ transcribes ___16___. A single gene on the DNA molecule is copied

. The process of copying this gene is called ___17___. This copy is known as ___18___ and contains the protein building instructions. This copy is sent out into the cytoplasm to the part of the cell known as the ___19___. The ___20___ of the ribosome will join together to form a functional ribosome when they attach to the mRNA. As the mRNA moves through the ribosome, the message is read by ___21___. Transfer RNA brings the correct ___22___ back to the ribosome. The amino acids are placed in the correct order and are hitched together by ___23___.

15. DNA

16. RNA

17. Transcription

18. mRNA

19. ribosome

20. subunits

21. tRNA

22. anticodon

23. peptide bonds.

The procedure of protein synthesis is as follows:

1. Within the cell nucleus, transcription process starts and mRNA is synthesized from DNA

2. mRNA after transcription move out of the nucleus and enter the cytoplasm.

3. mRNA then attaches to the start condon of the ribosome.

4. Amino acid is then carried by the tRNA to the ribosome.

5. The protein in its complete states is released for use.

6. Protein synthesis is then stopped by a stop codon

7. More amino acids are added to the growing protein as the ribosome moves along the mRNA

Soon after the island of Hawaii rose above the sea surface (somewhat less than 1 million years ago), the evolution of life on th
krek1111 [17]

Answer:

The correct answer is- founder effect

Explanation:

Founder effect occurs when a small number of individual isolates from the majority of the population by natural calamity or any other region. These isolated individuals show less genetic diversity than the larger population because they are less in numbers.

Therefore founder effect makes a small group of individuals isolate from a bigger population and make them occupy a different habitat. So a founder population can go on a newly developed island and start reproducing there.

A founder population over time converts into a new species because of reproductive isolation from the main population. So the evolution of life on the island of Hawaii should have been most strongly influenced by founder effect.

Anna11 [10]
Since alkylating agents work to prevent the cell from replicating its genetic material, the cell would most likely stop at the interphase checkpoint, which is the phase before mitosis (which consists of prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase). During interphase, the cell replicates its genetic material (DNA), but this would be prohibited by alkylating agents.
