I think it would either be C or D, but considering it's talking about the reasons why he admires him it should be D since it's not just asking for more explanation of him admiring him. The last answer says that his uncle works full time and offers free care for people who don't have the funds for it.

Answer:

D). In addition to working full time in his thriving pediatric dental practice, Uncle Ted regularly provides free dental care to those in need.

Explanation:

Personal narratives include experiences relating to one's life. In the given description, the sentence that most effective describes the personality of uncle Ted is option D as it proposes the qualities of him. It describes that he is a kind and generous person who offers free dental care aid to the needy which is reflective of his charitable nature. He also is a talented businessman as his dental practice is 'thriving'. These qualities would have been admired by Harrison and inspired him to become a dentist. Thus, option D is the correct answer.

Read the excerpt from Samuel Johnson's preface to A Dictionary of the English Language.
Marta_Voda [28]
The excerpt suggests that Johnson’s work is significant because it reflects an exhaustive study of its words.
In the excerpt above, Johnson says that he used many methods in order to compile this dictionary - he read a lot of books, used his experience, and used many analogies for readers to connect words and their meanings on their own. A is incorrect because that's not the point of a dictionary; B is incorrect because he doesn't even mention other dictionaries; D is incorrect because a dictionary cannot only list obscure words.
