By comparing part 1 and part 2 of "Polar Opposites" what can you tell that the poet means by "polar opposites"?

Polar opposites typically refer to two peoples’ personality traits. Such as Jeff is negative, cynical, jaded, unliked, and depressed where as Kat is his polar opposite, she's positive, optimistic, a little beam of sunshine, liked and happy.

Just opposites not polar opposites would be hot and cold. Earth and sky. Men and women. Normal and abnormal.

I think that it the second option. The words were borrowed into English along with concepts they describe. Since ballet was developed and refined in France, in order to make it more universal, the concepts and steps were given the French name. This makes it easier for everyone to come together.
