Answer

The offence of the offender will extend to all the other members of the clan.

Explanation

“if one finger brought oil it soiled the others” means that just one oily finger will taint all the other fingers with oil; another way to look at it is that the dirt of one finger will extend to the other fingers if you don't clean it first. In other words the phrase “if one finger brought oil it soiled the others” is a metaphorical way of saying that if left unpunished, the sin of one person extend to the whole community. We can confirm this by replacing finger with member of the clan and oil whit offence in the phrase: If one offender member of the clan brought offence (to the great goddess) it soiled the others (members of the clan).

qaws [65]

Answer:

178

Explanation:

According to my calculations, and some review on the formulas, I concluded with the answer 178. I got this answer through these steps:

1. We must calculate the area of the rectangle, which is width times height (25 X 6) which equals 150. Now that we have summed this answer, we must find the area of the two semi-circles. We know the height of the rectangle is the diameter of both semi circles, therefore we can discover the radius which is half of the diameter, (3^2) pi which equals 9 pi, as there are two semi circles which will make a whole.

2. This is the final step is to plug in our answers.

150+3(9.424) which equals approximately 178.

I see you are in college, I am in 9th grade, so I apologize if this answer is wrong.

Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

C. Revising a poem’s ideas and words

Explanation:

This question refers to Mackenzie Connellee's poem "Invitation".

There, the author counters the claim that writing poetry is easy work and gives some examples of the creative process.

In the mentioned lines, the author makes a metaphor about poetry "slopping lazily over the couch of a page" while the author has to "remove its muddy shoes and rearrange the pillows". That means that it takes some hard work and long road from the idea and raw material to the finished poem.
